What are the qualifying dates of the Tournament
Qualifying rounds will take place Friday, August 16 and Saturday, August 17. Tickets are $7.00 per person and can be purchased online, over the phone by calling 855-464-8366 after June 1, 2013 or during the tournament in person at the Front Gate Box Office

Where do I park and how much will it cost?
General parking during the main draw is $10.00 and $5.00 during qualifying matches. Parking is located off of Central Avenue across from the Yale Bowl. There will be signage directing you where to park as you begin to arrive at the tennis center.

The outer courts will have matches being played on them throughout most of the tournament.

What dining options are available at the New Haven Open?
The New Haven Open at Yale offers a variety of dining options and snacks in a large food court area. Dining options include grill favorites such as hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken sandwiches just to name a few. Other dining options include seafood, pizza and salad. For your convenience, tables and picnic tables with umbrellas are located in the food court and other areas of the site.

What is Aetna Kid's Day?
Aetna Kid's Day is a fun-filled day of music, court games, giveaways, autograph sessions and appearance by WTA Tour pros. Tickets start at just $11 for children 14 & under and include the day's matches. The first 1,000 kids receive a cool goody bag.

How do I become a volunteer at the Tournament?
If you are interested in volunteering at the 2012 New Haven Open at Yale please visit the volunteer section of the website to learn more about the volunteer areas and requirements. Volunteer information for the 2012 tournament will be made available after May 1, 2012.

What is your rain policy?
If the tournament or session is postponed or cancelled due to weather, the Tournament Committee will make every effort to accommodate the ticket holder on a subsequent session. However, no refunds or rain checks will be given. Rain delays can last 10 minutes or a couple of hours. Once it stops raining, it can take 30-45 minutes for the courts to be dried depending on the amount of rain received. Announcements and rain-delay updates will be made on Stadium Court as well as on our website.

What is your security policy?
All guests entering the grounds must consent to a reasonable search of person and belongings. No alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, weapons (regardless of permit), food, glass bottles or cans, hard coolers, aerosol cans or noisemaker devices, banters or signs, pets (unless a service animal), bicycles, scooters, roller blades, skateboards, sealed packages of any kind or any other object deemed unsatisfactory by the management of New Haven Open at Yale presented by First Niagara may be brought onto the premises. Pleae leave any unnecessary items at home or in your vehicle. We encourage you to arrive early to avoid delays and speed the entrace of all guests.

Do you have wheelchairs available on site and is there a charge?
Yes. We have wheelchairs available at the Guest Services Center, which is located near the entrance to the site. There is no rental fee for usage, but availability is limited.

When do tickets go on sale?
All tickets are cirrently on sale for the tournament. If you have ordered tickets in the past you are on our mailing list and will receive emails and ticket brochures containing all ticket information. How can I purchase tickets to the event?
Tickets may only be purchased via the internet through newhavenopen.com. Other options include call the box office at 1-855-464-8366 or coming to the box office after June 1.

Can I come watch the qualifying matches?
Yes, the qualifying matches are open to the public and will take place at the Tennis Center on Friday, August 17 and Saturday, August 18. Tickets are $5 each day and can be purchased on site the day of the event.

Is it possible to purchase a ticket for the grounds only?
It is not possible to purchase a ticket for the grounds only. All tickets will provide you with an assigned seat in the stadium. The ticket will act as a grounds pass for match play taking place on the outer courts where seating is on first come, first serve basis.

Can a patron exchange tickets?
No, there are no refunds, exchanges or cancellations. All sales are final. If you are interested in upgrading your tickets from the Middle Tier to the Box Ring, you may pay the price difference snf upgrade your tickets. This can be done at the Customer Service window of the Box Office at the main entrance of the tournament site.

I want to buy tickets to see a particular player, when is she scheduled to play?
If you are looking to see a particular player play, your best option is to wait until the daily schedule is released to find out if the player you are looking to see will be playing that day. The daily schedule is typically released around 7:00pm the night before and is posted to the New Haven Open at Yale website as well as in the local newspapers.

Do you offer seats in the shade or out of the sun?
Due to the tournament being an outside event and not having a roof on the stadium, the sun will be a factor.

What is meant by baseline, sideline, or corner view?
The baseline is the view you see when you watch a match on television. You will see the front of one player and the back of the other. The sideline is watching a match from the left to the right on the side of the court. The corner is watching the match from an angle.

Do I need to buy one ticket for the day and night or do I need to buy two separate tickets?
If you are planning on staying for both the day and night session you will need to buy a ticket for the day session and a ticket for the night session. If you are interested in purchasing a ticket for the day and night there are daily double packages available which have discounts applied to them. Do you offer discounts for children attending the matches?
Yes. Children under 14 receive a 50% discount off the regular adult price Stadium Box Seat for all sessions of the tournament . There is no junior price for the Courtside Box Seats.

At what age do you have to pay for a child?
Children 2 years of age and under are admitted free.

I have a group interested in going to the Tournament. Do you offer group discounts?
To be eligible for a group discount, a group must consist of 15 or more tickets. Tickets can be purchased at the discounted rate for Sunday, August 18 through Wednesday, August 21.

I need to purchase ADA seating. Where am I going to sit and how much does it cost? Where do I park my car?
ADA seating is available in the last row of the box ring and the price is the same as the Middle Tier individual tickets. The ADA seating is reserved for a handicapped guest and up to three companions. Additional guest tickets will be sold in the Middle Tier. ADA parking is located near the main entrance of the tournament grounds. For ADA parking, guests should enter through Silver Parking on Chapel Street.

Am I going to be able to see from the Middle Tier? Is it far away from the court?
You can see the court fine from the Middle Tier. Compared to Arthur Ashe Stadium at the U.S. Open, we are about half that size. The Middle Tier only has nine rows and it is recommended to purchase seats in the corner if you are looking to get as close as possible to the action from the Middle Tier.

Can I leave a ticket for someone?
Yes, you can leave tickets at the Will Call window located at the main entrance of the tournament grounds. The tickets must be left under the name of the guest picking them up and they will be required to present photo identification in order to receive their tickets.

The tickets will be filed under your last name and held at the Will Call window located at the main entrance of the tournament grounds. In order to receive your tickets you will need to show photo indentification.
