Dear Prospective Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the 2013 New Haven Open at Yale! Our volunteers play an integral part in making our event a great success each year, and with your help, we can make this year's event the best one yet! Join our team and you will have the chance to work behind the scenes at an exciting professional women's tennis tournament and see top players and the rising stars face off before they head off to the US Open in New York.
New for 2013, the New Haven Open is going to be more up close and personal than ever before as all fans will be sitting in the box ring of the stadium. The stadium is sure to be electric with this enhanced experience accompanied by new in stadium entertainment. In additon to this new spectator experience, the New Haven Open will feature action on the court with top women's players competing as well as a host of activities off the court including the Aetna FitZone, autograph sessions, live entertainment and much more!
The New Haven Open wouldn't be the success that it is today without the support and dedication of our volunteers. We offer a wide variety of volunteer options, everything from transporting players to and from the site to assisting guests find their seat location within the stadium, so sign up now to join in on the on and off court fun and excitement!
As a Volunteer you will receive the following benefits:
Uniform- Two (2) tournament t-shirts and a hat. Volunteers provide khaki shorts or slacks to complement their uniform.
Complimentary Tickets- Six (6) tickets to early round sessions. Sunday, Agust 18-Wednesday, August 21 (Sessions 1,2,4, 5 & 6). Volunteers that commit to and complete ten (10) or more shifts by Thursday, August 22 will receive an additional two (2) Courtside Box Seat tickets to the women's final on Saturday, August 24 (Session 12)
Credential- Access to stadium court and unlimited access to other tournament courts
Meal Coupons- For each shift worked. $9.00 per shift ($18.00 maximum per day)
Free Parking- Within walking distance from the tournament site on the days that you volunteer
Prizes, food and fun all week long!
In return we ask the following commitment from you:
Attend a mandatory training session on Saturday, August 10 for your assigned volunteer area. You will be notified of the time of the training session when you receive your area assignment.
Volunteer a minimum of SIX (6) Shifts during the tournament. You may double up your shifts to commit to few days.

Online Registration System:
Registration is now open to volunteer for the 2013 tournament. If you are a returning volunteer, you should have received an email with your 2012 User Name and Password. Once you log in to the registration site, your exisiting file will appear. If you are a new volunteer you will be asked to create a User Name and Password before completing your registration.
